Accepted and Prohibited Items
There are strict regulations on what can be disposed of safely and what RED-E-BINS is not authorized to process. Review the lists below:
What you CAN Dispose of in a RED-E-BIN
Mixed Trash
- Furniture
- Clothes
- Toys
- Packaging
- Other general household items
- Mattresses
- Box springs
- Plastic
- Large metal items
- Electronic Waste
- Yard waste (must not be mixed with anything and must not contain any solid tree trunks)
Construction and Demolition
- Siding
- Cabinetry
- Lumber
- Drywall
- Windows
- Carpet
- Flooring
- Broken down furniture
- Shingles (must ONLY be disposed of in our 5YD RED-E-BIN)
- Concrete, cannot be mixed with anything (must ONLY be disposed of in our 5YD RED-E-BIN, and only to the halfway point to meet weight limitations)
What you CANNOT Dispose of in a RED-E-BIN
- Any chemical or hazardous waste: Check items for a poison, chemical or bio-hazard symbol on its label
- Propane tanks
- Mud
- Large Loads of Concrete
- More than 3 tons (6,000lbs) of weight
- Waste that contains greater than 1% friable asbestos
- Chemicals, including fuels, cleaners, degreasers, oils, pesticides, acids, paints, etc.
- Radioactive material
- Auto body shredder wastes
- Explosives
- Soil contaminated in excess of State and Federal hazardous waste levels
- Liquid waste with a moisture content greater than 50%
- Untreated infectious waste from commercial sources
- Chemically treated wood waste
- Lamps (light bulbs), batteries, mercury switches
- Appliances (contact us about taking appliances for a $100 fee, subject to size and weight)
